Released after 17 years of imprisonment in a colony, "Skopinsky maniac" Viktor Mokhov ended up in the police after returning to his hometown of Skopin, Ryazan region: a local hotel refused to accommodate him in a room.

According to Interfax, Mokhov, who was released from the colony, arrived in his native Skopin on the night of March 4. After the death of his mother, his house was in disrepair, so the maniac decided to spend the night in a hotel. But there he was recognized and refused to settle.

“After the refusal, Mokhov called the police and asked to “sort out” the situation. The police officers who arrived at the scene put him in a car and took him away”, - the news agency reports.

Upon his release from the colony, Mokhov, who was serving a sentence for the abduction and rape of underage girls, was ordered to arrive at his place of residence no later than March 4. Upon returning home, he must register for operational records within three working days. If he does not do this, he faces liability, up to criminal.

Earlier it was reported that on March 3 "Skopinsky maniac" was released. In 2005, Mokhov was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony for the fact that in 2000, with the help of an accomplice, he abducted two underage girls - a schoolgirl and a student. Having drugged them with sleeping pills, Mokhov locked the captives in a specially dug underground bunker and made them his concubines. For four years he beat them, raped them, poisoned them with tear gas and starved out them. During the imprisonment, one of the victims gave birth to children from him twice. She was helped to give birth by a schoolgirl inmate according to the book on obstetrics brought by Mokhov.

Both boys born in captivity were taken away by the criminal and thrown into neighboring houses. It was possible to detain Mokhov only in 2004, when the captives miraculously handed over a note asking for help. They managed to do this through a new girl, whom Mokhov also wanted to make his concubine. At the time of release, one of the captives was pregnant with a third child from the rapist, but she could not bear it: she had a miscarriage.

In 2012, the court reduced Mokhov's term of imprisonment by 2 months, after which the offender announced that after his release he intends to return to his hometown.

After he did not arrive under police surveillance on the appointed day, journalists suggested that the maniac could go to Moscow to become a talk show hero. Earlier it became known that, while in prison, shortly before his release, he found one of his victims in social networks and began to write letters to her. The victim expressed fears that, having been released, Mokhov could figure her out again and come to her house.

Residents of Skopin said they did not want the released maniac to walk in the neighborhood of their houses, as they fear for the safety of their children.
