Digital collar for the sake of the "safety": what the total collection of biometric data threatens with

Analysts are confident that the history of Russia has come to a fork in the road from two options - digital democracy or digital dictatorship.

As it became known the day before, the Russian government wants to dramatically intensify the collection of biometric data from Russians. Over the next two years, the authorities plan to increase the number of entries in the Unified Biometric System from the current 164 thousand to 70 million.

Biometric data will be used to receive government services and pay "by the face". The methods that officials are going to use for this are frightening: for example, Kommersant said that the Ministry of Digital Industry plans to introduce "administrative measures", including closing remote access to a number of public services due to the lack of biometric data.

The Real Democracy channel considers this situation extremely dangerous for the country:

“70 million biometric registry entries in two years equals 70 million digital collars. And in another two years there will be 146 million.

Because our story has come to a fork of two options - digital democracy or digital dictatorship, utopia or dystopia, and there is no third.

If a person cannot / does not want to become a political subject, he will be made a political object. If you do not want to fight for freedom, it will be taken away from you completely. If you don't want to become citizens, you will be vegetables. Nothing personal, just system logic. A force that does not meet resistance, in this case the greed of the administration of a sovereign colony, will continue to move in its direction until the very last border ... "

Experts of the popular channel "Kremlin Madness" are also confident that Russia is moving by leaps and bounds towards a digital dictatorship, which is clearly seen in the quality of initiatives on the part of the authorities:

“The only humor is that the Internet lockdown is trying to crank the same shots that“ slowed down ”Twitter and frightened Telegram. Everyone can see what came of this, but the zeal with which the government's initiative to collect biometric data from Russians was announced suggests that the "mice" will still gnaw the cactus.

According to the idea of Mishusta digital-fiscal officials, it is planned to increase the number of biometric entries in the register from 164 thousand available to 70 million in two years. Under the guise of convenience, citizens will be shoved through "innovative" technology, which in Russian realities will do what the "boots" are used to doing - trample the constitutional secrets of personal life and correspondence by slipping spoofed SSL certificates into web browsers and other applications like public services. Of course, all with the good intentions of the "fight against terrorism" and under the protection of the "law on the sovereign Internet."

Together with the strengthening of control over the income of citizens and the fight against social networks, the government initiative continues Prime Minister Mishustin's course towards total digitalization, the purpose of which is to control and regulate the behavior of the population. After the elections, there is a great chance that a flurry of even more “caring” initiatives will fall on the shoulders of Russians.

Returning to the topic of collecting biometric data: the initiative is unlikely to be supported by the voter, and if it does not work voluntarily, then the good old method of obtaining what is needed with the help of a rectal cryptanalyzer, racketeering and blackmail will receive a new breath. The biometric data handed over by a citizen with the highest degree of probability will be merged: such precedents have happened more than once, and nothing prevents you from doing it again - the business is profitable and dust-free - just press a button and merge a couple of hundred megabytes where necessary. The matter will not end with terabytes of compromised data - the standard round-ups will be used according to the scenario "opened a store on a hydra, dropped the coordinates and catch-collect idiots who came for a flash drive or a bookmark, and at the same time cut down sticks."

In general, with such an initiative, the government is well nourished by the darknet, the shadow market and the supervisors assigned to oversee this case from some FSB. In other words, they will feed everyone at the expense of the Russians, whose destiny has already been designated: sit on VKontakte, please your comrade major further and do not shine, and when you need sticks, do not be indignant, everything has long been drawn up on you in your personal chats and downloaded applications..."
