According to Novaya Gazeta itself, various official sources stated that "nothing was found near the building where the editorial office of our newspaper is located", despite the fact that "dozens of people were suffocating from the stench". Now, as evidence, journalists have a video in which "a fake courier sprays poisonous gas, a container with which is mounted in a bicycle, right at the entrance to the building". The newspaper indicates that they figured out the plan: employees of the publication had to, stepping on the stain, spread the substance on the soles of the building along the floors of the building.
The newspaper recalled that they have been renting the building for a quarter of a century.
"It was our publishing house - Moskovskaya Pravda. For many years we have been living in good neighborhood with the engineers of the Department of Transport of the capital ... And if this is an attempt on us, then the transport security of Moscow has suffered as well. We offer the Moscow government a joint investigation", - said the journalists.
They added that there is a children's studio on the same floor as the editorial office.
"It cannot be left like that. This is a threat to Muscovites. Imagine that such a "courier" with a poison pulverizer will conduct his field service at public events? On the streets of the city?", - they say in the newspaper.
It's worth reminding that the day before, the editorial staff, located in the building on Potapovsky Lane, felt a pungent chemical smell. At the scene, the squads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police and FSB arrived.
Earlier, the publication published two high-profile materials about the mercenaries of the private military company "Wagner", who staged the execution of the Syrian Mohammed E., as well as about torture in Chechnya in January 2017, when 27 detainees were shot during special operations after an attack on police officers on the territory of the regiment ща PPS named after Akhmat Kadyrov.
This is not the first time that Novaya Gazeta has been attacked. In April 2017, journalists received a letter with an unknown white powder inside and congratulations on Easter. In July of the same year, the journalist's house and car were sprayed with caustic gas, similar in smell to the one that was felt in the editorial office yesterday.
In October 2018, a severed sheep's head with a threatening note appeared on the doorstep of the editorial office. A few days later, at the entrance, unknown persons set up cages with sheep in vests with the inscription "Press".
