Yevgeny Yushchuk, a member of the International Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), says that scammers can call again anyone who has already contacted them earlier. He recalled that in business there is a whole line of work with objections - as well as in the situation with fraudsters.
“If a person starts to communicate in principle, then he becomes, from the point of view of the attacker, a potential victim. Fraudsters need to get in touch with a person who is ready to communicate. Some people talked for the first time, but jumped off the hook. If this happened, then the scammers have another attempt to interact with them”, - Yushchuk explained in an interview with Sputnik radio.
According to the expert, large organizations are engaged in telephone fraud, where scripts are prepared in advance - scripts of conversations with potential victims. If you suspect that you are communicating with a fraudster, then you need to urgently interrupt the conversation and contact the bank - but at the real number indicated on the official website, or through a mobile application.
Yushchuk also recommended installing an application on the phone that catches spam calls. "The lion's share of the numbers from which they call, allegedly on behalf of the bank, are lit in these applications, and they will not receive you", - he said.
