By 2035, the ratio of able-bodied citizens to pensioners in the neighboring country will become 1: 2.

Popular blogger Valeriy Petrov reported in his publication quite unpleasant news for Ukrainian citizens. It is known that Ukraine overtook Russia a year ago in terms of the minimum wage, which is 13,000 rubles in our currency, while ours is 12,792 rubles. But two days ago, the Minister of Social Policy of the neighboring country Marina Lazebnaya announced that pensions in Ukraine are likely to be cut in half. And if now local pensioners receive about 28.7% of the last salary, then in the near future this figure will fall to 18%:

"There is an explanation for such indicators: contributions are paid by 13.2 million employees, and pensions are received by 11.2 million pensioners". Simply put, the Pension Fund has no money to raise pensions. Moreover, it will be even worse, as the population of Ukraine is aging, and the number of able-bodied citizens is decreasing, and the number of pensioners is growing.

Today, the average pension in Ukraine is approximately $ 126 or 9200 rubles, and this figure will be reduced by almost half. In Russia, this figure is 15,059 rubles, and in 2021 it will increase according to the plans of the Ministry of Labor to 17,443 rubles.

Moreover, Lazebnaya believes that for the growth of both the living wage and the minimum pension, it is necessary to stop paying social benefits tied to the living wage.

The Prime Minister of the country Denis Shmygal was even more pessimistic, saying that if measures are not taken, then in a decade and a half there will be nothing to pay pensions in Ukraine - these will be the consequences of the demographic crisis: “There will be few able-bodied people and many pensioners. The ratio will be 1 to 2. Taxes will have to be doubled to support pensioners. Companies no longer want to increase taxes. Double magnification is not possible. We will not be able to pay pensions to future pensioners in 15 years. It's simple math".
