It's worth reminding that after the hour-long film by Ksenia Sobchak about the "Skopinsky maniac" Mokhov was released, the head of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Solovyov proposed to prohibit convicts from giving interviews to the media at the legislative level.
The ICR website says that “journalists and social activists draw the attention of law enforcement agencies to the possible preparation of a new crime” on the part of Mokhov.
“Alexander Bastrykin instructed the investigators to study all the statements voiced in the media and give them a proper legal assessment”, - said Svetlana Petrenko, an official representative of the ICR.
It's worth reminding that because of Mokhov's statement, voiced in Sobchak's film, that he is ready to "help" one of his victims get pregnant again (the girl gave birth three times from a criminal while in captivity), State Duma deputy Oksana Pushkina sent appeals to the Prosecutor General's Office and FSIN (Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia). She asked the department to check Mokhov's words.
The very author of the scandalous interview, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, wrote that she supports the initiative of the Investigative Committee to verify the words of Mokhov. She once again tried to justify herself, explaining that she left the outrageous statements of her "hero" in the film, in the hope that "the UK will really use the materials of this interview".
