Musician, journalist, culturologist Alexander Lipnitsky drowned on March 25 when he tried to cross the frozen river near the village of Nikolina Gora on skis. He was 68 years old.

The musician's wife, Inna, wrote about this in a closed Facebook group. The information was confirmed to "Rain" by the son of Alexander Lipnitsky Vladimir.

Alexander Lipnitsky was one of the founders of the "Sounds of Mu" group. Supported groups "Aquarium", "Kino", "Zoo".

Together with Artemy Troitsky and Gayoz Kandelaki, he participated in the organization of the legendary Spring Rhythms festival in Tbilisi in 1980 - the first rock festival in the USSR.

Alexander Lipnitsky hosted programs about Russian and foreign rock on St. Petersburg TV, the Nostalgia channel, and the Finam FM radio.

He also directed a TV series about the main characters of Russian rock in the 1980s.
