Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won gold at the World Championships in Stockholm. The last time the Russians won the World Cup was in 2013, when Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov became gold medalists.

Mishina and Gallyamov, the debutants of the world championship, were able to score 227.59 points in the short and free programs. The second place was taken by a couple from China - Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, who received 225.71 points. Another Russian couple, Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky, took bronze with 217.63 points.

Note that the fourth place was also taken by Russian figure skaters - Yevgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov. They scored 212.76 points.

Anastasia Mishina admitted that the victory for her and her partner was a surprise.

"The victory came as a surprise to us, we still don't understand what happened. We would like to thank our fans. We know that many people watched the broadcast on their screens, and we feel their support. After each completed element, they were less and less nervous, towards the end they felt joy that everything worked out", - RT quotes the words of the skater.

It's worth reminding that on March 24, Russian Anna Shcherbakova won the short program at the World Cup in Stockholm. The third place was also taken by the representative of Russia - the champion of 2015, Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva.
