Moscow City Duma deputy from the Yabloko party, Sergey Mitrokhin, was detained and taken to the district police station. This was reported by his assistant Maria Chuprina.

Among the possible reasons for the detention, she named his participation in a rally near the Federation Council, which took place on March 17. On that day, Mitrokhin was also detained, although he himself said that he was not participating in the demonstration, but simply "communicating with journalists". At the same time, he was detained that day as the organizer of the picket.

As Chuprina explained, the department on March 17 did not explain the reasons for his detention to Mitrokhin, and also did not draw up a report on him. The deputy was released and asked to appear at the department on March 29. On this day, he was to be given a protocol. When Mitrokhin came for him, he was detained. It turned out that a court has already been scheduled for March 29 in his case.

Earlier, Mitrokhin was also fined 300 thousand rubles for participating in the rally on January 23. The deputy intends to challenge this decision. According to him, he was an outside observer at this rally.
