April 1, the Laughter Day (April Fool's Day) is celebrated - on this day, Russians love to organize pranks on their loved ones. However, some jokes can harm not only the person being pranked, but also the author of the prank.

According to clinical psychologist, esotericist Alena Orlova, jokes can be “brilliant” and “dirty”. You need to understand which one is appropriate in a given situation. “Brilliant jokes are when bright, intellectual, interesting humor appears, everyone laughs at it, because it raises people, the position is joyful. But dirty jokes are also perceived by many as joyful, because they include dirty language. But not every person perceives such language with pleasure, moreover, not every person uses it. Such a person will perceive obscenities as “dirtying” himself, as an insult”, - Orlova explained in an interview with Sputnik radio.

Also, a prank can harm the joker himself - because of the self-evil eye. For example, if a prank is to inform a loved one about his illness, then the joker may program himself for the disease. “Everything that we say and voice can come true”, - says Orlova.

In addition, a joke can result in conflict, which can escalate into enmity. “Therefore, a joke is a serious matter”, - said the clinical psychologist.
