Landslides kill over 50 people in Indonesia and East Timor

At least 41 people in Indonesia have been affected by the aftermath of natural disasters in Indonesia. 27 are currently missing.

On Adonara Island, dozens of homes in Lamenelle in East Nusa Tengara province have been hit by landslides. According to the head of the local emergency management agency Lenny Ola, rescuers pulled out 35 bodies of the victims. Five people received injuries of varying severity.

On the territory of the village of Oyan Bayan, landslides destroyed 40 houses. The bodies of three people were found on the ruins. Hundreds of residents left the village.

In Vaiburak, three people were killed, and seven are missing.

In the capital of East Timor - Dili - 11 residents were victims of landslides.

Recall that at the beginning of the year, dozens of Indonesians died due to a series of earthquakes that took place in the country. The number of victims exceeded 600 people.
