On page 20, as previously reported, it was proposed to supplement the text of the memo for the passport holder. Now it contains a memo with a callout from the regulation on the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, but if the bill is adopted, it will be expanded with a reminder that this document must be obtained by Russians from the age of 14. They also want to make a note about the blood group, the Rh factor, the reasons for recognizing the document as invalid.
"If the changes are adopted, citizens will not need to replace their passports without fail", - told RIA Novosti in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The current regulation on the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation provides for the age of the owner for obtaining it: from 14 to 20 years, from 20 to 45 years; from 45 years old - indefinitely.
The department clarified that the changes will also allow the owner to change an invalid passport within 30 days after its expiration.
The authors of the initiative believe that the bill will eliminate the legal uncertainty when the authorized bodies recognize the passport as invalid. This will remove corruption risks, exclude the possibility of abuse by officials.
