The court ordered to provide an apartment to the Vladivostok family after 50 years of waiting

"It has been established that from 1972 to the present, the applicant's family of six people was on the waiting list to improve their living conditions as poor people. For almost 50 years, the municipality could not find an apartment suitable for them in size", - the supervisory authority said.

The prosecutor's office, in turn, went to court with a lawsuit to oblige the Vladivostok authorities to provide housing under a social tenancy agreement that would meet the necessary sanitary and technical standards. The prosecutor's claim was satisfied by the Leninsky District Court.

Two family members have already died while officials were considering the case, and therefore the area was reduced to 72 square meters.

The prosecutor promised to monitor the execution of the judgment.
