A firefighter died while extinguishing a fire in the building of the "Nevskaya Manufactory" in St. Petersburg

The firefighter, who stopped communicating while extinguishing the fire in the building of the Nevskaya Manufactura business center in St. Petersburg, was found dead, Interfax writes, citing an informed source.

The business center on Oktyabrskaya embankment caught fire in the afternoon at about half past twelve. The fire broke out on the fourth and fifth floor of the building. The area of the fire has now increased to four thousand square meters. The fire has spread to four floors of the six-story building. The roof and interior ceilings of the historic building collapsed. The fire was assigned the fifth, increased difficulty rank.

During the extinguishing of the fire, two people were injured, they were taken to the hospital. 300 people and 69 pieces of equipment, including a helicopter, were involved in extinguishing the fire.
