Searches of DOXA Student Magazine Employees Begins

The online magazine DOXA, created by a group of students of the Higher School of Economics, reports on Telegram that searches are taking place at the residence of editors Natalia Tyshkevich, Vladimir Metelkin, Armen Aramyan and Alla Gutnikova.

Tyshkevich pointed out that the searches began precisely because of the video about the intimidation. The video was previously removed at the request of Roskomnadzor. The editor added that the case was opened "under an extremist article" - on the involvement of a minor in committing acts that pose a danger to the life of a minor. Tyshkevich is in the status of an accused.

Kommersant quotes Leonid Solovyov, a lawyer for the Agora human rights group, who specified that the search at Amaran's house is being carried out by employees of the central office of the Investigative Committee of Russia. They confiscate the equipment from him, and they are going to take Amaran himself to the ICR.

At the beginning of 2021, Roskomnadzor demanded to remove the magazine's appeal on the inadmissibility of restrictions on the rights of students in anticipation of protests, wrote Apology of Protest on Telegram.

It's worth reminding that DOXA covered the summer Moscow rallies and raised funds to pay fines. In February, the magazine published a list of those who were taken to a special detention center in Sakharovo after uncoordinated rallies in support of opposition leader Alexey Navalny.
