“All fifteen sailors abducted from the Davide B vessel in the Gulf of Guinea on March 11 were released and are safe”, - a representative of the ship-owner Cor Rading told RIA Novosti.
At the moment, all seafarers are in relatively good condition, they are undergoing medical examinations. Soon they will repatriate to their countries.
Earlier it was reported that on March 12, 210 miles from Lagos, the ship was hijacked by pirates.
The Gulf of Guinea is one of the most dangerous places where pirates attack ships most often. Last year there were several reports of the seizure of Russian sailors off the coast of Nigeria. At the end of October, two sailors were released: the captain of the ship and the senior capital mate from the Water Phoenix.
