On April 26, the Moscow City Court will begin considering the claim of the Moscow prosecutor's office on recognizing the FBK and the headquarters of the oppositionist Alexey Navalny as extremist.

The lawsuit became known on April 16. The supervisory authority says that Navalny's organizations threaten Russia with a change in the foundations of the constitutional order. But supporters of the opposition say that the real reason for what is happening is the upcoming all-Russian mass rally for the release of Navalny and other political prisoners, as well as the potentially dangerous for the "party of power" project of Navalny's headquarters "Smart Voting", which is aimed at ensuring that during the September elections to the State Duma By 2021, United Russia lost its majority in the lower house of parliament.

It's worth reminding that FBK (Anti-Corruption Foundation) was registered by Navalny in September 2011. The organization was engaged in anti-corruption investigations. According to the head of the Fund, the organization is funded by donations.
