According to a survey conducted by the Research Center of the SuperJob.ru portal, only 4% of Russians plan to have a rest next summer at open foreign resorts, although among fellow citizens with a monthly income of 80,000 rubles or more, 8% of respondents have such plans.
Turkey remains the most popular destination, where to relax in the summer if this route is opened, 3% of Russians would like to, however, until June 1, air traffic with Turkey has been suspended due to an increase in the incidence of coronavirus, including new more infectious strains, in this country, the Interfax news agency notes.
Also, according to the survey, 18% of Russians will spend their summer vacations at home, every tenth - at their dachas, 17% of respondents are planning a tourist trip to Russia, and 3% of respondents would like to relax while visiting another city during their vacation.
About 28% of Russians said that they would not rest in the coming summer, 17% of those surveyed have not yet decided on their summer vacation plans. The temporary suspension of flights with Turkish resorts until June 1 affected 600 thousand Russian tourists who have already booked their trips and spent 35 billion rubles. Most of them refused to refund money or exchange travel vouchers in Russia and decided to postpone their tours.
At the same time, the authorities of the first country, Montenegro, have already canceled all restrictions on the entry of tourists from Russia, as well as Ukraine and Belarus during the tourist season. They will not even be required to perform PCR tests for coronavirus infection.
