This is reported by TASS referring to the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH). At the same time, by the beginning of February 2021, the share of overdue loans was 23.5%.
By April 1, the indicator of overdue microloans rose to 30.4%, which is 4.8 percentage points more than the level of 2020. At the end of March, it was reported that the number of overdue loans in MFOs reached a record - citizens were unable to repay 5.4 million microloans.
Overdue auto loans amounted to 7.5%, having increased their share by 1 percentage point, and on mortgages - 1.5%, having increased their share by 0.1 percentage points.
According to Alexey Volkov, Marketing Director of the NBCH, the dynamics of growth in the share of loans overdue for more than 90 days in the period 2020-2021 was quite insignificant. He believes that the trend is related to the restructuring of problem loans by banks.
"If it had not been carried out, the share of retail loans with delays could have been significantly higher", - explained Volkov.
The Central Bank previously warned Russian credit institutions that about 20-30% of loans restructured last year could become problematic for banks in 2021.
The Expert RA rating agency expects that in the first half of the year the volume of overdue mortgage debt will grow by 8-10%, and in the second - by 12-15%, the demand for loans will decrease, and the debt burden of citizens will grow.
