One of the heads of the agency, Alex Mashado Campus, who was the keynote speaker on the issue of the Russian vaccine, said that basically the countries that have registered the drug do not have sufficient authority in the world. He recalled that Sputnik V was not approved by European and American regulators.

At the same time, the developers of the drug see a political motive in this step.

"Anvisa's delay in accepting permission for Sputnik V, unfortunately, is political in nature and has nothing to do with access to information about the vaccine or science", - the developers wrote on Twitter.

Recall that in Brazil since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 14.3 million people have been infected with covid. The country was one of the three leaders in the increase in the number of cases. At the same time, the state has twice already suspended the registration of the Russian vaccine due to the lack of the necessary information about the drug.
