According to the press service of the FSB, they were distributing extremist materials on the territory of the Russian Federation, and also planned to arrange attacks on Russians and bombing of administrative buildings.
During the searches, the detainees were found with edged weapons, instructions for the manufacture of explosives, as well as information about previously committed terrorist attacks and planned explosions. Also, security forces found video reports that the detainees were sent to management in Ukraine on their implementation of the violent actions, says the FSB report.
After the arrest, the suspects confirmed that their actions were led by the leader of the radical group Yegor Krasnov. He gave them specific instructions on what to do. In particular, adherents of Krasnov's ideas had to involve new members in their group by hanging extremist inscriptions on buildings. The next task of the radicals was to beat up a homeless person or a representative of one of the youth subcultures. After which they had to attack civilians and police officers, set fire to the buildings of the authorities and set up an explosion. After committing each crime, the radicals had to send video reports to their leader.
The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases under five articles of the Criminal Code for incitement to murder, preparation of a terrorist attack, attempted deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm.
