The Ministry of Education and Science issued a decree, according to which the heads of organizations subordinate to the Ministry, during the non-working days established by the President - from May 4 to May 7 - will be able to conduct training and intermediate certification "using distance learning technologies".

The department recommended that the founders of organizations carrying out educational activities also switch to distance learning during this period, and by the end of April determine the number of employees who will go to work from 4 to 7 May.

It's worth reminding that the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has already recommended that schools go on vacation from 1 to 10 May. Duty groups will be organized in kindergartens during this period.

The decision to declare the days from 1 to 10 May non-working April 23 was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Rospotrebnadzor explained that against the background of the third wave of coronavirus, the introduction of a long weekend may have a beneficial effect on the epidemiological situation in the country, since such a regime reduces the number of movements of Russians. And this leads to a decrease in the number of COVID-19 infections.

Moreover, in some regions, the May holidays will be even longer - up to 18 days.
