Spain Visa Application Center in Moscow resumes accepting documents for a Schengen visa from May 12. However, according to the Spanish Consulate General, the Russians will not be able to use them until the coronavirus restrictions in Spain and other EU member states are lifted.

Earlier, the European Commission proposed to open the borders for those tourists who were vaccinated against coronavirus no earlier than two weeks before the date of the trip, as well as for citizens of those countries where the epidemiological situation is good. The authorization will only apply to EU-approved vaccines. These are AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. At the same time, tourists will still have to pass a coronavirus test before entering the country, and also stay in quarantine for two weeks, if required by the rules of the host country.

In addition, Bulgaria and Croatia also opened borders for Russians on the eve of the tourist season. Entry to these countries is allowed for those who were previously vaccinated with " Sputnik V". In particular, the Bulgarian consulates have already begun accepting documents for issuing a visa, writes TASS. Also, for Russians who have been vaccinated with the Russian vaccine, entry to Greece is open. The certificate is equivalent to a negative coronavirus test. So far, the country receives only four thousand tourists from the Russian Federation every week, but they promise to cancel this quota in May.
