Before the arrival of the deputy chairman of the government Khusnullin, the name of the German company Siemens disappeared from the equipment installed at one of the Crimean water intakes.

This amusing incident is reported by the Scanner Project, clarifying that it is not clear when exactly the name of the German company disappeared from the pumps. On the other hand, in the screenshot of the local Vesti report, published a month and a half ago, the name Siemens is clearly visible, and then it disappeared, and the wear is clearly visible on the equipment. It is also noted that before Khusnullin assured that all the pumps at the water intake station are of domestic production.

Officially, the German company Siemens announced the termination of the supply of turbines to companies associated with the Russian authorities back in 2017. True, after that, the German prosecutor's office began an investigation, suspecting the concern's employees of circumventing this ban and continuing the supply of turbines to Crimea.

Commenting on this situation, journalist Vasily Alenin writes:

“Here is the 'import substitution' and the great power of the Russian industry. This is, sorry, not a Space X spaceship, not a supercomputer - it's just a pump to pump water. Yes, powerful. But after all, for several years they themselves could not do even this... I had to buy. As you know, exorbitantly. Because those who sell are well aware of the risks. And they are, of course, included in the price. Moreover, they probably stole it during a secret operation - they gave it to the sellers and threw it off for themselves(...)"
