More than 100 experts worked on the new version of the recommendations. They analyzed the effectiveness of various drugs. As a result of the study, experts approved the use of "promising and sufficiently studied" drugs, and drugs that showed low efficiency were excluded from the list.
So, for patients with coronavirus who are in inpatient treatment, the use of human immunoglobulin is recommended. For proactive anti-inflammatory therapy in adults, it is possible to use a glucocorticosteroid in the form of a powder for inhalation. But hydroxychloroquine was excluded from the list of recommended drugs for the treatment of coronavirus.
Thus, the list includes favipiravir, remdesivir, human immunoglobulin against COVID-19, interferon-alpha and umifenover.
At the same time, the recommendations for the care of patients with diabetes mellitus were updated. Also, the recommendations were supplemented with information on vaccines against coronavirus "KoviVac" and "Sputnik Light".
The new version of the recommendations for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus has been sent to the regions for practical use.
