The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, condemned the military operation by the Israeli authorities in Jerusalem, calling it "lawlessness" in his Telegram channel.

"In the current situation, it will be better for everyone if the Israeli authorities come to their senses and, with full awareness that they are guilty of what happened, apologize for what happened", - he said.

"Muslims around the world have two most revered holidays. And Ramadan is one of them. The Israeli authorities have chosen the most sacred days for believers for the punitive operation. This is nothing more than a provocation in the most sophisticated form", - wrote the head of Chechnya. Jerusalem must be stopped immediately. One way or another, it will be stopped".

Ramzan Kadyrov recalled that "on the last Friday of Ramadan, when thousands of believers gathered in the Al-Aqsa mosque, an armed Israeli special forces broke into it to the teeth. As a result of the use of weapons and special equipment, hundreds of peaceful, unarmed people were injured".

Ramzan Kadyrov also noted that Al-Aqsa is one of the main Muslim shrines, and the world community should not be silent against the background of what is happening, - reports the Interfax agency.

Clashes that erupted in East Jerusalem on 7 May following the eviction of several Palestinian families from the city have affected at least more than 280 people. They continued today, May 10. The UN has already expressed concern about what is happening.
