A man died in a fire in a private hotel on Sakhalin

As reported in the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Sakhalin Region, while extinguishing the fire, the body of an unidentified man was found, in connection with which a case was initiated under the article on causing death by negligence.

The body is currently being sent for a forensic medical examination, which will determine the exact cause of death. The investigation will assess the actions of those responsible for ensuring fire safety.

The Prosecutor's Office has begun its own check: the legality of providing the premises of the house for temporary residence of citizens will be assessed.

It's worth reminding that a fire in a three-storey residential building, apt. area 350 sq. meters happened the night before. The building was completely burned out.

It's worth to note that fires in hotels occur quite often. At the beginning of the month, it became known about the death of a person as a result of a fire in the Moscow hotel "Vechny Zov", where a rally of cadets from other regions took place.
