War
American director Oliver Stone (pictured) believes that the United States began a war against Russia back in 2006-2007 - after President Vladimir Putin announced that states were imposing their interests on other countries. At the same time, Stone sees no reason to accuse Russia of aggressive behavior.

“There is a campaign, a war against Russia for a long time. It started again in the US around 2006-2007, when he [Russian President Vladimir Putin] gave this speech in Munich [at the Munich Security Conference]”, - the film director told the Washington Post.

According to Stone, the aggression comes from NATO, not from the Russian authorities. He noted that NATO forces surrounded not only Russia, but also China. The director also stressed that there should be those in the United States who stand for peace and the establishment of relations with China, Russia, Iran and other states.

“We have to change our point of view because we still strive to be the only force in the world that controls the world. We cannot continue on this path, this is the path of suicide", - Stone said. He believes many Americans agree with him. But it is not customary to talk about this in public.

It's worth reminding that American director Oliver Stone shot a documentary about the Russian president in 2017. In 2019, he also interviewed Putin as part of the film In the Struggle for Ukraine.
