Israel counted 1,600 rockets fired at it from the Gaza Strip

Since the beginning of the escalation, Israel has attacked 600 military targets Hamas and Islamic Jihad, RIA Novosti reports.

The situation on the border between Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip escalated on Monday evening. There were almost continuous attacks, due to which six Israelis were killed and about two hundred were injured of varying degrees of severity.

Today, the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip announced 67 deaths as a result of shelling by the Israeli army. Among the victims are 17 children. It also became known that the Israeli military was preparing for a ground operation in the Gaza Strip. However, there have been no commands to start them yet.

It's worth reminding that the division of the Palestinian Gaza Strip is disputed by the participants in the Arab-Israeli conflict, which has been going on for many years. The Arab side still does not agree to recognize the plan for partitioning Palestine, developed by the UN General Assembly back in 1947.
