Bailiffs came to the Moscow studio of Radio Liberty* (Radio Svoboda) and began to describe the property. Earlier it was reported about numerous fines imposed on the media, but also about the cancellation of many of them by court order.

The fact that bailiffs came to the radio station's Moscow studio was reported to the Dozhd TV channel by one of its employees and confirmed by Alla Frolova, the legal aid coordinator of the OVD-Info portal, who was leaving the station at that moment. However, the bailiffs soon left the studio without sealing it.

The bailiffs notified that they intend to collect five million rubles for ten fines imposed for the absence of the "foreign agent" marking in the materials, and the payment period for which has already expired, Interfax reports. The bailiffs brought the notice and spent about two hours at the editorial office asking for an inventory of the equipment. By the evening it became known about the blocking of bank accounts of the radio station.

As noted by the newspaper "Vedomosti", yesterday, on May 13, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow canceled 140 fines imposed on the radio station and its head Andrey Shary for violating the rules of the work of a foreign media agent. They explained that the decisions on 140 fines were canceled, which is associated with a violation of jurisdiction: the protocols should have been considered by the Tverskoy court, and not by the magistrate. In total, 68 fines against a legal entity and 72 fines for Andrey Shary were canceled. At the same time, 117 fines totaling 28.8 million rubles were upheld by the court.

* By the decision of the Ministry of Justice, Radio Liberty was included in the register of mass media performing the functions of a foreign agent.
