In Japan, the doctors' union calls for the cancellation of the Olympics

"Due to excessive employment, doctors and nurses hardly participate in such an important matter as vaccination, and even more so they will not get their hands on volunteering at the Olympics. It's tough for the athletes, but someone has to say about the cancellation of the Games. We believe that doctors should raise their voices", - RIA Novosti quotes the text of the appeal.

The letter said that doctors in hospitals "mistrust the government" and express doubts that the authorities actually intend to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

"The state is obliged to protect the life and well-being of the people, we have come to the point when this must be clearly shown", - the authors of the appeal emphasize.

Note that the Japanese themselves are not happy with the previously canceled and postponed from 2020 to 2021 Olympics. About 72% of Japanese residents want the Tokyo Olympics to be completely canceled or postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
