On average, Russians with an average income are ready to spend 40 thousand rubles on summer vacations. Last year, the average value was 49.5 thousand rubles.

This was announced by Kirill Rodin, director for work with public authorities at VTsIOM. He clarified that citizens, whose financial situation can be described as good, are ready to spend over 50 thousand rubles per person on summer vacations. Those who have a poor financial situation indicated the amount of 31.1 thousand rubles. Muscovites and residents of St. Petersburg will spend 50 thousand rubles per person.

Rodin clarified that this year the share of those who will not save up for vacations, but will spend their current funds, has grown. If last year the figure was 22%, now it is 30%. Now 36% of citizens save money for recreation.

40% of those who do not intend to go on vacation cited the lack of money as the reason for this. Last year the figure was less - 36%.

It is noted that the awareness of Russians about the state cashback program for domestic Russian tours has grown compared to last year. If in 2020 19% knew about it, now 31% said that they know well about the program, and 45% "heard something" about it.

At the same time, 90% of citizens plan to relax in Russia in the summer. Another poll showed that every third Russian will not go anywhere this summer. Among the main reasons for this, residents of the country cite the congestion of Russian resorts and high prices for vacations.
