"Another humanitarian delivery confirms the consistent nature of Russian support for India in its fight against the unprecedented coronavirus threat in the context of a high level of bilateral strategic partnership and mutual trust", - said Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev, adding that the assistance will help the country reduce the shortage of essential medicines.
He recalled that Russia is one of India's leading partners in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Cooperation is intensively supported “in the vaccine direction”, - Kudashev said.
In April, both first aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations landed in New Delhi with emergency humanitarian aid from Russia. The planes delivered oxygen concentrators, ventilators, anti-coronavirus drugs and other means of fighting the epidemic.
It's worth reminding that on May 1, a plane with the Russian Sputnik V covid vaccine arrived in India.
