Until a full investigation of the charges against Aleksandr Lepikhov and the passing of a verdict, the editorial board has no right to name these "representatives" of the dismemberer convicted of the brutal murder of a girl.
On his YouTube channel, Lepikhov published a detailed video, where he showed bank checks: a total of 325 thousand rubles were transferred to him through Sberbank immediately before and after the date of false testimony on October 26, 2020. Lepikhov claims that the text with questions and answers at the trial was provided to him in advance and he voiced it. The purpose of these testimonies was to create the impression among the court that Sokolov's scientific opponent, the historian Yevgeny Ponasenkov, somehow brought the dismemberer to a nervous breakdown and reprisals against the girl he had killed.
Thus, we can talk about a crime committed by a group of persons acting in a preliminary conspiracy, for which they face up to 7 years in prison.
We contacted the historian Yevgeny Ponasenkov, who has already won two trials against Sokolov under the article on Defense of honor and dignity. According to Ponasenkov, he was "taken aback by this information, but he is not surprised". The historian's lawyers are already preparing a statement to the Investigative Committee and the General Prosecutor's Office demanding to initiate a criminal case on bribery of a witness.
The lawyer of the family of the victims (the parents of the murdered Anastasia Yeshchenko), Aleksandra Baksheyeva, said that she was outraged by the documents made public, and soon after Ponasenkov would submit an application to the Investigative Committee with a request to initiate a new criminal case against the entire trio - Sokolov and his representatives.
