Applications for payment of 10 thousand rubles for children will begin to be accepted in July

According to Olga Batalina, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the payment of money for the preparation of schoolchildren by September 1 will begin in August.

“Acceptance of applications will begin, we plan, somewhere in the middle of July, the exact date will be determined when we, in fact, will issue a resolution. In August, while there is no date either, the payment will begin”, - TASS quotes Batalina as saying.

As the Deputy Minister clarified, it will be possible to submit an application for a lump sum payment until November 1.

Information about the upcoming direct payment by September 1 to prepare children for school appeared on April 21 when the President's message to the Federal Assembly was announced.

In addition to the parents of schoolchildren, single-parent families with children aged 8 to 16 can apply for cash payments. From July 1, they will be paid an average of 5,650 rubles a month. Poor pregnant women will receive additional payments. After the sixth week of pregnancy, they will be paid 6 350 rubles a month.

The reason for the introduction of additional payments was the data on the catastrophic impoverishment of Russians during the coronavirus pandemic. The Accounts Chamber suggested introducing “poverty benefits” not only for children, but also for adults in difficult life situations, but such a decision has not yet been made.
