The Investigative Committee of the Krasnodar Territory opened a criminal case against the former director of "Open Russia" Andrey Pivovarov under the article on the activities of an undesirable organization. He was detained, interrogated and transported from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar.

"Criminal case under Art. 284.1 of the Criminal Code (carrying out activities of an undesirable organization) was instituted by the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory on May 29 - two days after the RPO "Open Russia" announced its complete liquidation. After interrogation, on behalf of Andrei Pivovarov, they are detained and transported to Krasnodar", - Yelena Borodina, Pivovarov's lawyer, told TASS.

Let us remind you that the case was initiated on May 29. Two days earlier, Open Russia announced the liquidation of the organization and the closure of all regional branches.

As reported the lawyer Anastasia Burakou night at home in St. Petersburg Pivovarov was searched. According to her, the operational actions ended at about four o'clock in the morning. After that, Pivovarov was sent to the IVS.

We will remind that today it also became known about the search carried out at the dacha of the former State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov.

* The Prosecutor General's Office recognized the organization as "undesirable" on the territory of Russia.
