The new support measure is expected to speed up gasification of the private sector in Russia.
As reported on the website of the State Duma, amendments to the law on gas supply were adopted on June 1 immediately in the second and third readings. From now on, owners of land plots will receive a privilege for gasification: gas transportation to the boundaries of the plots will be carried out at the expense of the state, without attracting funds from citizens.
"Now, from the gas pipe, which is laid in the settlement, to the border of the household of a particular person, the gas will be required to supply at the expense of the state", - RBC reports.
It will be necessary to pay money only for connecting gas and laying a pipe directly through the territory of the site.
A single operator, Gazprom, will be engaged in connecting housing to gas pipes.
In his April message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested introducing a program of free gas connection to houses in Russia. The reason for this initiative was the fact that gasification rates are low even in settlements located near gas pipelines. The reason is the lack of money among the population for laying pipes.
On the eve of the adoption of the law, residents of the country complained that even from those whose houses are five meters from the gas pipe, gas workers demanded half a million rubles for connecting , while more than half of this amount was the cost of the gas connection project.
