As a result of a meeting between the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Yuri Naryshkin (pictured on the right) and the State Security Committee of Belarus Ivan Tertel (pictured on the left), it was decided to work together to counter the "destructive activities of the West".

According to the Belarusian state agency BelTA, the SVR of Russia and the KGB of Belarus "in the spirit of traditionally fraternal relations" decided to work together against the destructive activities of the West, "aimed at destabilizing the political and socio-economic situation in the Union State".

It should be reminded that earlier, by joint efforts of the department, they detained in the center of Moscow political scientist Alexander Feduta, who was a member of Lukashenko's campaign headquarters in 1994. He was detained together with the head of the Belarusian Popular Front party Grigory Kostusev. As it became known, he was considered involved in the allegedly preparing attempt on the life of Alyaksandr Lukashenko. Later, the Belarusian state channel ONT reported that Feduta was only an "informant", and the main directors of the "conspiracy" were in the United States.

Now there is every reason to believe that such spy stories will be presented to the public at least twice as often.
