The most popular Soviet actress several times in her life dramatically changed her fate, and she never regretted it.

Recently, 63-year-old remarkable actress and public figure Alexandra Yakovleva received the title of honorary citizen of Kaliningrad, and few people know that in recent years she has gone through 20 most difficult and painful chemotherapy courses to defeat cancer...

Many people remember her role as a beautiful flight attendant in the first Soviet disaster film "The Crew" directed by Alexander Mitta, which made her a star overnight.

Then there was a role in another popular film - "The Man from Boulevard des Capucines", and it seemed that Yakovleva had a successful film career ahead, but...

Sasha, born in July 1957 in Kaliningrad, was raised by her grandparents after her parents divorced when the girl was very young. The surname of her grandfather was then taken by the nee Alexandra Ivanes. Since childhood, she dreamed of a stage, went in for dancing, learned to play the violin and went to an amateur art circle. However, entering the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, I failed in the third round ... What can I say to my grandmother, who believed in her so much? And Sasha, in tears, begs the great director Georgy Tovstonogov to let her study... And already at the age of 22, having starred in The Crew, an unknown third-year student becomes a star of Soviet cinema. But it was an accident, since the director wanted to shoot Elena Proklova in this film, but she refused. Just then at Mosfilm there were auditions for a cameo role in the future film masterpiece Autumn Marathon, to which Yakovleva came, but she did not get the role of the daughter of the heroes Gundareva and Basilashvili, but Alexander Mitta noticed her and invited her to audition for his film. And he was right!

Soon Yakovleva becomes one of the most popular young actresses in the USSR, will play more than 30 roles in 14 years of her career, and at the peak of fame, she will suddenly leave the profession. After the collapse of the country, a crisis began in the domestic cinema, and cinema simply ceased to exist for Yakovleva. In addition, her beloved grandmother died, the actress arrived in Kaliningrad in complete despair. The then mayor of the city came to the rescue: first he helped with the funeral, and then offered the post of his deputy for culture and tourism, where Yakovleva worked for five years, having managed to do a lot for her native city, including establishing the Amber Panther film festival.

After the power in Kaliningrad changed, Yakovleva left for St. Petersburg, graduated from the Polytechnic Institute with a degree in State Municipal Management, and worked at the Pulkovo airport as the head of the personnel management service. Then the deputy head of the Oktyabrskaya railway for quality management and marketing, the deputy general director of Russian Railways...

By the way, as an 18-year-old student of the theater institute, she married her classmate Valery Kukhareshin. They lived together for only 7 years, and they had a daughter, Elizabeth, and a son, Kondraty. And now there are four grandchildren.

By the way, TV journalist Alexander Nevzorov became Yakovleva's second husband, but they did not live together for long. There was also a third husband - the Estonian paratrooper Kalju Aasmäe, whom she met on the set of the film Paratroopers back in 1984...

In the spring of 2019, Yakovleva announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last stage for two years, which developed completely painlessly, but when suddenly her legs were taken away, the doctors found out what was the reason. Hardly experiencing this news, she decided to fight, and only after the 7th chemotherapy procedure was she able to get out of bed.

Her daughter rented a house for her on the seashore in the village of Yantarny, and only there the wonderful actress was able to finally come to her senses: "This is my native land, I felt better there, I tuned in to the positive".

It remains to wish Alexandra strength and health!
