It should be reminded that today at 8:00 am local time (7:00 Moscow time), more than two thousand polling stations have opened in Armenia. The elections to the National Assembly (unicameral parliament) are attended by 25 political parties and blocs. Judging by the results of the polls, the leaders today are the Civil Contract party, the leader of which is the incumbent head of the Cabinet of Ministers Nikol Pashinyan. Also among the leaders is the "Armenia" bloc headed by the second president Robert Kocharyan.
Let us remind you that early parliamentary elections are held against the backdrop of an internal political crisis. Pashinyan's resignation from the post of prime minister was demanded by citizens after the signing of a peace agreement on Karabakh.
In early May, the Armenian parliament did not vote to elect Pashinyan as prime minister.
