Cherchesov called the failed match with the Danes the best of the Russia's team at Euro 2020

“We didn’t score two good chances, but they scored nothing”, - Cherchesov said on the Match TV channel.

He stated that the responsibility for the defeat falls on the coach.

"There is a theoretical plan that we have passed. In terms of quality of play and readiness, it was our best game. We prepared the team from the game, as it were, to the game... We must improve. <…> The responsibility always lies with the coach. This is an unwritten law", - said the coach of the national team.

The captain of the Russian team Artem Dzyuba apologized to the fans for the failure in the game with Denmark.

"I would like to apologize to everyone who believed in us, we are very guilty. We love adventures on our ass, so today we did crap our pants", - said the top scorer in the history of the Russian Premier League.

It's worth reminding that Russia lost with a crushing score to the Danes in the last round of the Euro 2020 group stage. The Russians have only one victory over Finland, which, as expected, lost to the Belgians in a parallel match. The difference between goals scored and conceded was 2:7.
