In addition, more than two-thirds of the country's citizens are in favor of keeping the collected taxes in the regions.

The results of a recent sociological survey on the attitude of Russian citizens to certain freedoms, conducted by the ZIRKON research group, turned out to be interesting.

They clearly demonstrate, for example, the categorical rejection of the Russian society of gay marriage (against 85%) and the right to arms (against 72%). For the first time, the provision on hunting was included in the questionnaire, and the answers were rather unexpected - 58% were in favor of banning hunting.

On the other hand, the sharp increase in the number of Russians advocating the introduction of the death penalty (54%) is in earnest compared to 2018.

In addition, the majority of Russians advocate the right of women to abortion and the right to euthanasia.

It is also curious that 59% of Russians believe that the interests of citizens are more important than the interests of the state. This means that the government spirit is gradually disappearing from society.

It is worth paying attention to these points:

“The church should not influence the adoption of state decisions” - 69%. Despite the clericalisation imposed from above, Russian society for the most part remains secular.

“Most of the taxes collected should remain in the regions” - 77%. This is the biggest demand in society - for federalization (for real regionalization), for life without Moscow (the metropolis).
