Even vaccinated tourists will need a PCR test to enter Greece from June 30

"According to the statement of the Ministry of Tourism, from June 30, all travelers arriving in Greece from Russia must have a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test (made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip) or an express test for covid", - the newspaper Protothema reports.

In addition, all citizens of the Russian Federation over 12 years old will have to undergo express testing upon arrival in Greece. The publication's website states that this research is carried out free of charge. Earlier it was indicated that the result of such a test in Greece can be learned in 10 minutes, and if it turns out to be positive, the tourist will have to be isolated. Moreover, the receiving party pays for the isolation.

The reason for the tightening of requirements is associated with the spread of the Indian strain of the coronavirus in Russia, as well as the worsening epidemiological situation in the territory of the Russian Federation.

On Saturday, the Greek government extended until July 3 the entry permit for Russians with a vaccination, test or certificate of the presence of antibodies. On the eve of the day of arrival, tourists need to fill out the PLF electronic form on travel.gov.gr, indicating their contact details in Greece. After that, you need to swell the QR code in order to present it at the border, as well as a voucher for hotel accommodation.
