According to RBC, referring to Anatoly Losev, General Director of Molvest, and other manufacturers, prices will rise by 7-10% in the fall of 2021.
The National Union of Milk Producers indicated that this year the price of the product no longer covers the cost of its production. Ruzskoye Moloka also indicated that the company would have to raise prices due to rising costs. Producers do not compensate for the significant increase in the cost of milk production, which tends to rise in price.
Recall that dairy products are included in the list of socially significant products approved by the Russian authorities. If the rise in price of milk is 30% in 30 days, the Ministry of Economic Development can set a maximum price for it.
Earlier, in May, a large retail chain asked suppliers not to raise prices for food, including milk.
It should be noted that the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin called the greed of manufacturers and retail chains one of the reasons for the rise in food prices.
