The authorities added less than 300 rubles to the subsistence minimum (PM) of Russians, setting the indicator for 2022 in Russia as a whole at 11,950 rubles.

For the working-age population, the subsistence minimum from January 1 next year will be 13,026 rubles. For children, they "added" 289 rubles to 11,592 rubles, for pensioners the PM increased by 255 rubles, amounting to 10,277 rubles a month.

Recall that now the subsistence minimum is calculated according to a new method, this year it amounted to 12,702 rubles for able-bodied citizens and 11,653 rubles per capita. Note that PM values are used to calculate benefits. Since the beginning of 2021, the minimum wage and subsistence allowance are no longer calculated on the basis of a notional consumer basket, but depending on the median income and wages.

Meanwhile, sociologists said that the impoverishment of citizens in the Russian Federation is artificial, and, in their opinion, it is a matter of collusion between government officials and employers.
