In 2020, the number of infectious and parasitic diseases increased by 13%

Over the past year, over 37.5 million cases of infectious and parasitic diseases were detected on the territory of the Russian Federation, which is 13% more than a year earlier, when 33.08 million cases were registered.

As stated in the report of Rospotrebnadzor "On the state of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the Russian Federation in 2020", the text of which is quoted by RIA Novosti, there is "a weakly expressed tendency towards an increase in the incidence of infectious diseases."

The absolute indicators of economic damage caused by infectious pathology increased by 2.57% last year.

Recall that now in Moscow, even patients with acute respiratory viral infections have begun to be transferred to self-isolation. This was already the case at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic last year. Now, in connection with a sharp increase in the spread of coronavirus infection, the previous, previously canceled, restrictive measures are returning.
