52 Russians isolated in Cuba tested positive for covid

As reported by TASS with reference to the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Havana, Nana Mgeladze, repeated testing was carried out on July 3, and 52 people tested positive, 18 Russians are now in a paid isolation ward in Varadero.

On the eve it became known that more than 150 people who flew from Russia to Cuba were diagnosed with coronavirus during testing at the airport. The tourists themselves claimed that they were healthy, and Mgeladze suggested that "something is wrong with the laboratories."

Finding themselves in isolation instead of rest, the tourist recorded a video message in which they said that in Russia they had passed tests, the results of which were negative, and half of those who had arrived had previously been vaccinated. They said it "raises questions" about how their tests came back positive in Cuba.

Later, 103 Russians were released from quarantine, who actually did not have the disease.
