Educational state standard supplemented with "patriotic education"

In the near future, the approaches to the organization of primary and basic general education will change in Russia.

According to the new orders of the Ministry of Education on the approval of federal state educational standards (FSES), published on the official Internet portal of legal information, additional provisions were included in the standards.

As noted by Novaya Gazeta, from now on the Federal State Educational Standard includes not only an item on the unity of the educational space, but the formation of the “Russian civic identity” of students. This concept implies that by the end of the 9th grade, schoolchildren should be ready to fulfill their civic duties, have systemic knowledge about the place of the Russian Federation in the world, its historical role, and territorial integrity.

Children should gain insight into the country's cultural and technological development and its contribution to the world's scientific heritage. They will have to master the "reasonable and safe" use of digital technologies, as well as form the concept of "a high level of scientific and technological development of the country."

The new FSES includes the personal development of students, including civil, patriotic, spiritual and moral, aesthetic, physical, labor, environmental education.

The reform of the Federal State Educational Standard was initiated by the former Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva. With the arrival of Sergei Kravtsov in her place, work on the documents was temporarily suspended, but then Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order on the formation of an interdepartmental working group on the development of the general education system.

It is not yet entirely clear how the new federal state educational standards will be implemented, associated with the development of "new digital technologies" in educational institutions in settlements where there is still no Internet. It is also not yet very clear how teachers will "instill patriotism", aesthetics and spiritual and moral foundations in children attending crumbling schools without an "accessible environment", with current roofs, crumbling ceilings and terrifying-looking toilets that have not seen repairs for 40-50 years...

Previously about repairing the dirtiest and most uncomfortable school toilet offered free of charge by Domestos as part of a charity event. On the project website, you can leave applications with photos. Those bathrooms that get the most likes will compete for the main prize - repairs and a year's supply of detergents. About 100 Russian schools have already entered the fight for the worst toilet. Contestants complain that school toilets have not been repaired for years, and children are even afraid to look into some rooms.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called the poor condition of school toilets in the Russian Federation a problem of a particular school . "This is not a question of the Kremlin, but of each individual school, a question of general culture and a question of leadership", - Peskov commented on the launch of the competition for the worst school toilet.
