Rains in the Tuapse district of the Kuban flooded 760 houses

Heavy rains that repeatedly hit the Krasnodar Territory caused flooding of 760 houses in the Tuapse region. The seaside village of Dzhubga suffered harder than others, where the Dzhubga River overflowed its banks.

As reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the municipality administration, as of 8:00 am on July 6, in the Tuapse region, water submerged 760 households.

"In the village of Dzhubga, 340 households were flooded, in the village of Lermontovo - 250, in the village of Moldovanovka - 30, in the village of Defanovka - 90, in the farm Polkovnichiy - 50 households", - the message says.

People lost their gardens, flower beds, washed away the harvest on their backyard plots. Many residents have posted a video on the Internet about how they found themselves waist-deep in the muddy water that floods their homes.

Due to bad weather in the Krasnodar Territory, an emergency regime was declared in six districts.

Heavy rainstorms have hit the region since 4 July. On Sunday, the monthly norm of precipitation fell in Sochi, the water in the rivers rose to critical levels. Beaches, boats, catamarans were washed away, even yachts were carried away into the sea. The streets, boarding houses, hotels were flooded with boiling water, cars were carried off the roads.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the Tuapse region, at the 65th kilometer of the A-147 Dzhubga-Sochi highway, traffic is closed on both sides due to a mudflow. The incident took place near the village of Gizel-Dere. The mudflow is 40 meters long and two meters high. On the blocked section of the route, work is underway to clean up the road and eliminate the consequences of a raised landslide. Traffic police officers work at the scene. Earlier, the mudflow descended on the A-149 Adler - Krasnaya Polyana highway.

After the onset of bad weather, the Emergencies Ministry warned that a strong cyclone that struck Sochi would soon pass through the entire territory of Krasnodar Territory. In connection with the unfavorable forecasts, the authorities issued an emergency warning.
