The author of the poster depicting the killed journalists was detained in St. Petersburg

As clarifies "Fontanka", the security forces intend to transfer the materials to the committee on the legality and law and order of the city. The department will check whether the actions of the street artist violate the article of the city law on the placement of advertisements and other information materials outside specially designated places.

The drawing on the transformer booth in Pushkin Garden shows portraits of lawyer Stanislav Markelov, Novaya Gazeta journalists Anna Politkovskaya and Anastasia Baburova, politician Boris Nemtsov, law-defender Natalya Estemirova. The drawing is made in the style of the cover for the legendary Beatless album - Revolver. The picture reads "Heroes of the days gone by". The image was there until the morning of July 16, when the police took it off.

Recall that at the beginning of last month in St. Petersburg closed the case of vandalism for the application of graffiti on a transformer booth with a portrait of Alexey Navalny.
